The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services Office of Vital Records is responsible for death records from July 1, 1911 to present. Death records prior to July 1, 1911 are available through the County Recorder's office in the county where the event occurred.

Nevada death records are not public, and therefore may only be accessed by direct family members by blood or marriage, guardians, or legal representatives. Death records are available in person, by mail, or online.
