However, registration may be required to access certain records.The Office of Licensing and Registration, a division of the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation, handles the licensing of most professions in Maine. License searches can be performed by profession, company/person name or license number. The licensing of medical professionals is managed by the Board of Licensure in Medicine. Online searches can be performed by name, town, and license number. Attorney licensing is managed by the Maine Bar Association.
