About Divorce Records in Kansas
Kansas divorce records are managed by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment Office of Vital Statistics. These vital records managed by the Office of Vital Statistics are not public in Kansas, and therefore access is only available to the registrant, immediate family members, legal guardians or representatives, and those proving an interest in the record.Divorce certificates are available from the Office of Vital Statistics from July 1, 1951 to present. Divorce decrees must be obtained through the Clerk of District Court in the county where the divorce was filed along with divorce certificates prior to 1951.
