About Land Records and Deeds in Delaware
Deeds and other document recording are managed by the Recorder of Deeds in each county. Records kept include mortgages, deeds, leases, assignments, financing statements and federal tax liens. Two of Delaware’s three counties provide an online searchable database where searches can be performed by party name, document category, parcel number, address, or date. For the county that does not have an online database, requests can be made in writing, over the phone, or in-person.
