About Marriage Records in Alaska
The Alaska Bureau of Vital Statistics is responsible for managing marriage records in the State of Alaska. Under Alaska law, all marriage records are restricted. Marriage records are publicly avialble only for marriages that happened more than 50 years ago. All requests for certified copies of marriage records must be made in person or in writing.

View Alaska probate index from 1883 through 1960, and naturalization records from 1888 through 1972, as well as information about requesting historical records from the Alaska State Archives. Records include pioneer home residents from 1913 through 1980, teacher records from 1917 through 1959, World War I veterans from 1913 through 1923, and births, deaths and marriages from 1816 through 1998.
