Hawaii County is a county located in the state of Hawaii on the island of Hawaii, often called the "Big Island." Hawaii County encompasses the entire island of Hawaii. It is also home to the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Corporation, the world's largest producers of macadamia nuts. Being the oldest city in the state of Hawaii, Hilo has a significant tourism sector.
