A survey recently released by The Center for Public Integrity graded how much information state governors must reveal about their private financial affairs. Washington State was the only state to receive an “A” in this survey; 21 states received an “F”. Advocates of greater financial disclosure state that the additional information could help reveal possible conflicts of interest. While the survey focused on governors, all elected officials, members of the governor’s cabinet and some school district administrators must complete financial disclosure forms annually.
