Deeds and Document Recording Minnesota deeds and general document recording are handled by the Recorder's Office in each county. Records kept include deeds, mortgage documents, easements, powers of attorney, and liens. Vital Records Copies of certificates of marriage are available from the county that issued the marriage license, and divorce decrees are available from the county that granted the divorce.
