Property Tax Records
Massachusetts real and personal property tax records are kept by the Board of Assessors office in each township.
Deeds and Document Recording
Massachusetts deeds and general document recording are handled by the Registry of Deeds in each county. Larger offices have separate divisions for recording. Records kept include deeds, mortgage documents, easements, powers of attorney, marriage licenses, and liens.
Vital Records
The Registry of Vital Records and Statistics collects, processes, corrects and issues copies of birth, death and marriage records that occur in Massachusetts.
