Wyoming Vital Statistics Directory

Vital records include birth, death, marriage, and divorce records. In Wyoming, vital records are managed by the Department of Health.

Birth records are available from July 1909 to present and may be obtained by the registrant if at least 18 years of age, parents, a lawyer representing the registrant or parent, or a legal guardian. Death records are also available from July 1909 to present. Death records may be accessed by immediate family members, lawyers representing the immediate family, or anyone requiring a certificate to pay a policy or death benefit on the decedent. Marriage and divorce records are available from 1941 to present and may be obtained by the married parties or lawyers representing the married parties. For marriage and divorce records prior to May 1941, requests can be made to the County Clerk in the county where the license was issued.

Death, marriage and divorces records for the event which occurred at least 50 years ago may be accessed by any interested party. Vital records from the Wyoming Department of Health can be obtained by writtenl request. An online application form is available to be viewed and downloaded by interested parties.
