Missouri Vital Statistics Directory

Birth, death, marriage, and divorce records are managed by the Department of Health and Senior Services Bureau of Vital Records. Birth and death records are also available through the health department in the county where the event occurred. Marriage records can also be obtained from the County Recorder in the county where the marriage license was issued. Divorce records may also be found with the Circuit Court Clerk in the county where the divorce was finalized.

Birth and death records are available from January 1, 1910 to present. Marriage and divorce records are available from July 1, 1948 to present. Marriage and divorce records prior to July 1, 1948 must be obtained through the County Recorder or Circuit Court Clerk’s office.

Vital records can be accessed by the registrant, relatives, legal guardians, and legal representatives. Vital records requests can be made in person, by mail, or by phone.
