Mississippi Assessor and Property Tax Records Directory

Mississippi real and personal property tax records are managed by the Tax Assessor in each county. Land and land improvements are considered real property while mobile property is classified as personal property.

Many Tax Assessor offices provide an online searchable database, whereby searches can be performed by owner name, parcel number, address, or section. Search results can include tax records as well as appraisal records.

Additionally, the Mississippi Tax Commission offers an online database to search for tax records by name. Online searches are available for 81 Mississippi counties.

For counties where the Assessor Office is not online, requests must be made over the phone, in person or via written request.
