The Arkansas Secretary of State Business and Commercial Services (BCS) manages business registration. The BCS registers Corporations and LLCs, records trademarks, files notary public certifications, issues Authentication of Documents and Apostilles, and records Uniform Commercial Code Filings.
A corporation search is available, whereby searches can be performed by corporation type, name, registered agent, location, or filing number.

There are agencies responsible for numerous professions such as architects, assessors, attorneys, barbers, dentists, and teachers. Most agencies offer an online database to search for professionals licensed by their agency.
As business licenses are often issued through the city or county where the business is located, information can also be obtained by contacting the city or county. A few counties have online services; however, one may also contact the city or county by phone, mail, or in person.
